Ybarra and heinz sign a strategic alliance for producing and packing.
The President of Grupo Ybarra, Mr. Jaime Ybarra, and the President of the European branch of Heinz, Mr. Roel Van Neerbos, signed this morning an agreement of strategic alliance between both companies in order to develop different business areas.
Among the multiple possibilities they studied, both companies decided to focus initially in a very specific business target: Grupo Ybarra will carry out the production and packing of the newest range of sauces that Heinz will be launching at an European level by 2008. This process will be undertaken at Ybarra’s premises in Dos Hermanas, Sevilla.
The years-long business success of Ybarra, the skills and profesionalism of its staff and the quality of the premises, as well as Ybarra’s experience on cold sauces, segment where this company is the Spanish market leader, were the key factors for Heinz to close this agreement.
This strategic alliance will be directed by a Comitee formed by two representatives of each company to be presided, initially, by Mr. Jaime Ybarra.
The main function of this body will be controlling the satisfactory development of the agreement and also analyzing new working areas for common growth and business generating opportunities which are currently under study.
This agreement consolidates the expasion of Grupo Ybarra as a major foodstuff company, opening new international business possibilities to be developed by both companies.
