Reserva
A Spanish term referring to quality wine from a good vintage that has satisfied specific aging requirements. Though the classification varies from one region to another, in order to be labeled “reserva,” red wines must generally be aged for a minimum of three years with at least 1 year in oak barrels; Rosé and white reservas require a minimum aging of 2 years with no less than 6 months in oak.
